Chapter two, nostalgia

Gathering objects which I personally found nostalgic I started to define areas of nostalgia, one being the good a sense of familiarity and the other being a sense of longing for past or places, homesickness.

With two categories I was interested in the idea old good and bad nostalgia. I started to research how bad nostalgia could affect an adult human being.

Chapter one, Drawing

During the week of drawing I decided to draw a teacup, without meaning to most of my images I sketched were morphing into images related to memory, or storytelling. I decided to look deeper into what lay behind the concept of “nostalgia”, and how objects could create a response.

It was through this drawing that I went onto the concept of nostalgia and wanted to know more about what the different aspects towards it were.
